The S1 line functions as the north-south fast track channel in the central urban area of Taizhou and the south-south fast track channel connecting Wenling and Yuhuan in the urban area, and connects the important integrated traffic nodes such as Toumen Port Area, Taizhou Station and Wenling Station.  The S2 line functions as the east-west fast track channel in the central urban area of Taizhou City, and connects the Huangyan City, Taizhou West Station, Jiaojiang City ( Taizhou Station ), Taizhou Bay New Area, Jinqing, Wenling East New Area, Songmen, Shitang and other important blocks and stations. Together with the S1 line, the cross fast track of Taizhou City is constructed.  The function orientation of S3 line is a fast rail transit channel connecting the central urban area of Linhai City and the central urban area of Taizhou City, which connects Linhai Station, Linhai South Station and Taizhou Station in series.   

 M line is the main service ' three districts two cities ' track line.  The function orientation of M1 line is the east-west track traffic line connecting Huangyan City and Jiaojiang City.  The function orientation of M2 line is the east-west track traffic line connecting Taizhou West Railway Station, Huangyan City, Luqiao City, Taizhou Airport and Taizhou Bay New Area.  The function orientation of M3 line is the north-south rail transit line connecting Jiangbei New District, Jiaojiang City, Luqiao City and Wenling City.  The function orientation of M4 line is to connect the rail traffic lines of Huangyan City, Yuan ( Qiao ) Sha ( Bu ) Gao ( Qiao ) Block, Jianyang Lake, Luqiao City and Taizhou Airport.  The function orientation of M5 line is an east-west rail transit line in Wenling City, which connects Wenling East New District, Ruo Heng Town, Wenling City District, Wenling Station and Daxi Town.    The basic guiding ideology of the recent implementation of urban rail transit in Taizhou is to form the radiation skeleton line with the center of the main city as the core as soon as possible
